About Us

BRC is a growing, vibrant community of believers who strive to grow in all things into the image of our Lord Jesus Christ.  This starts with a love of God and neighbor.  As a result of this love, Christians are called by God to minister to all of God's children in our community and our world.  The church, as a body of believers, is called to model the kind of community that represents God's vision for his creation.

BRC lives into its calling through worship, service, care, and fellowship.  We worship weekly, celebrate the Lord's Supper monthly, serve whenever possible, and learn, pray, love, grow and laugh together always.
BRC views worship as a central task of all who believe in God.  Worship services at BRC follow a traditional, liturgical format, with The Word in Proclamation and Sacrament at the center of our celebration.  While some children's programming takes place during the worship service, the participants return to celebrate the Lord's Supper with the congregation on Communion Sundays.  Music is an important part of our worship service. The Chancel Choir sings weekly from September to May, supplemented by music presented by soloists or other groups during the summer break.  The hand bell choir also plays several times a year. Our service begins at 10:00 AM; nursery care is provided.
Christian education is also part of our core identity at BRC with opportunities for all age groups to continue on their journey of faith and grow in their knowledge of the Lord.  (Please see Christian Education page for details)
Finally, BRC is a praying community.  There are weekly prayer meetings on Wednesday evenings.  While this service tends to pay particular attention to the needs of our own BRC community, we also pray for the needs of those in our city, state, country and world.
As a member of the Reformed Church in America, we affirm the sovereignty of God, the divinity of Jesus Christ and the continual presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Our doctrinal standards are the Holy Bible as well as the four confessions and three creeds accepted by the Reformed Church in America.
